I think that team should be able to win the SoCon. But we will take at least a slight step back. Hopefully by the next year we’ll be ready to try another run. Have to keep getting guys. I’d love to build in the Aztec mode, but I guess we have to work with whatever guys we can get.

Need to find good shooters...I think coach has recruited a couple of good guards that can shoot coming in next year...no idea if Molnar or any of their other players can contribute next year....I guess we will find out soon enough..

Also wonder about Anderson? He showed promise at the end of last season, but didn't make the playing-nine this season.

Probably correct about VanderWal, Hughey first off the bench.

anderson and whitt shared the backup point guard duty in the first half of the year ,but then cbr decided to go with whitt for the remainder.anderson might get more playing time next year if he decides to come back.however he might consider the portal as well.

Agree. If we keep using the same offense we need better shooters. Our guys need a really open look from 3 and still struggle too often. Good enough for the SoCon, but I think we want to adjust our sights higher. If we can’t find any awesome shooters, we could change the way we play. Dominating the paint is kinda like having a punishing running game in football. It just demoralizes the other team.

I think a couple great questions, are who hits the transfer portal, and if CBR leaves, then who is going with him? I would guess JP and Ben for sure would go with while there are three possibles in my head that could go make a big splash in the portal.

As of right now though, Starting 5:
JP
Whitt
Vanderwall
Foster
Hughey

Whoever starts next year will be coached by Bob Richey.
That one was great. Every time I hear Bob speak it just solidifies the incredible coach and person he is.

Hope Joe Anderson makes a comeback. I don’t see what CBR sees in Carter Whitt. He needs to work on his shot among other things.

Think Vanderwal did fine as a freshman. Got a lot more experience than most of our freshman recently.

Pegues and Alex Williams can be special. Foster should be better. Ditto for Hien.

If nobody leaves we will compete in conference for sure.
