Hunter - 50.5% - best in the So Con. Go Alex
Williams- 47.8% - excellent
Garrison - 44.4% - very good. Shoot more.
Anderson- 41.2% - Thought was lower. Suspect will go up with more playing time.
Hien - 35.7% - Surprised % is this high. Some ugly misses.
Bothwell- 32.1% - not good enough for a guard. Hope his % will go up.
Slawson- 30.2% Thought was higher . I wish he would shoot more 3’s.
Foster- 15.8% - If I was the coach , I would tell him to not ever shoot another 3. Better to use his athleticism and get closer to the basket.

Hunter is 8th nationally and has more attempts than any of the top 50 with 101. Only one other player in the top 8 has more than 70 attempts(73).

Per KenPom we are 18th out of 354 D1 teams in 3 pt fg%…..39% overall a a team.
I honestly thought that when we became a really elite 3 point shooting team the whole system would work and we would be really, really good. We are pretty good but the results are so far about the same as usual. I still think we will win a so so conference, but if we come in lower than second it’s time to reconsider our entire approach.

If offense was the only thing that mattered then you might have a point, but we still need to play defense and rebound just like everyone else. Don't see how coming in lower than second means we should rethink the entire system. At this point, it's the main reason for our success this season.

Whoever said Marcus shouldn’t ever shoot another 3 in a game... Rescind that comment...
Not really, he was 2-3 last night. 3-19 before that so now 5-22 still well under 25%. Hope he gets better.

Our approach right now is to build a team with 6’1” shooters and one big man who isn’t big. That’s probably never gonna be a recipe for strong rebounding and D.

Fair - but we have 2 6'7 signees for next year, pulled the redshirt from Hughey, hopefully get Lawrence back soon, and need more from Hien. That's not even mentioning Repass.

So right now it feels more like our size just isn't playing at the level it needs to as opposed to CBR choosing a strategy that doesn't involve size.

Good points. I also assume that pulling the redshirt from Hughey may mean that Lawrence isn’t coming back as soon as hoped. It could also mean coach is not pleased with the production from Hein and Repass.

Hard disagree. Having all 5 guys on the floor capable of shooting the three spaces out the floor. If all MF does is drive the ball, it’ll clog the lane and defenses will know how to stop him. Coaches are electing him shoot because we need him to and he’s obviously capable.

My rule with Foster would simply be if you miss your first 3 3’s, don’t shoot anymore 3’s.

I too would like to see Slawson shoot more 3’s instead of faking a 3 and then taking that big step to his right. I am assuming he cannot drive to his left.

Foster went 4/4 from 3 tonight.

Slawson.... hit one of the biggest of the night while missing a lot. Gotta take the good with the bad...

Hunter has been a smidge off since all of the praise about having the most 3’s in D1. Came out firing in the first half, had the 4 point play in the second.

Mike’s been good from 3 as of late. 10/19 since the Presby game.
