If it turns out that Furman hires a new HC I hope they get Duane Vaugh from Western Michigan. He was instrumental in building the good Defensive squad we have today, and brings with him the best cheerleader ever. If not Vaughn, I hope we can lure away Rick Vice from Pulham State. He has a past, yes, but is a motivator.

Hypothetical point. Just answering the question. FU plays football and basketball. Some fans pull for both!

Yep, well keep searching for the answer because its not just 'money'..........

We will get some good candidates for sure! ;)

Update from my previous predictions 2 weeks ago.
Samford went from tossup to loss, obviously.
WCU stays at a loss
Citadel stays at a loss.
UTC stays at a loss.
VMI goes from win to tossup.(If they can score 14 they can win)
So 2-10 or 3-9 at best!

Some fans pull for both. Some divide. You be the judge.

Then I am judging you as a divider by your statement:

"If you've got $300 k in NIL money for each program, obviously it'll go a lot further in basketball. Quite frankly one player can make a difference, not so in football. The difference and why Clay complains is that he hasn't received any increase in operating funds in forever. This is on the FU administation. He has to bus 2 days to Ole Miss to pick up a check and BB is traveling around the country by charter jet. Bob Richey is the highest paid employee at FU. He gets whatever he wants because FU is scared to death he's leaving. Hey I'm a season ticket holder in BB and have been for years, but somebody asked what's the difference. Well it's money."

I am not saying your not a fan of both, but that sounds like a lot of whining, crying and finger pointing to me ;)

Nobody pointed the finger and blamed Football all those years we stunk in hoops, Football has to look deep within itself to resurrect what it once had.........

It's a tough collegiate athletics climate out there no doubt, but if you get the right coach (program leader) in place, anything is possible!

Clay has been a good guy at FU, but the product on the field (lack of talent and discipline) and his absence of answers and enthusiasm in pressers says his time has come to an end.......

Start the search and hope JD can find the right new leader for the Football program................

And get FU Football into the Patriot league once Basketball goes A10 :D
