FYI:

"The Santa Clara County Superior Court resumed its hearing today, October 20, 2026, in the Glancey v. NCAA class-action lawsuit.
The lawsuit, which features over 70 college basketball player plaintiffs from the high school class of 2022 (including Gonzaga's Xaivian Lee, BYU's Jaxon Kohler and Furman's Charles Johnston), is seeking a preliminary injunction to grant these athletes a fifth year of eligibility under the NCAA's new "5-in-5" age-based eligibility model.
Because the court session just resumed this morning to finish hearing witness testimonies that ran out of time during the initial September 29 session, a final written ruling on the preliminary injunction has not yet been formalized or released by the judge."

Ohio Class of 2022 NCAA Eligibility Ruling

The State Track: The Ohio Supreme Court Review
The immediate fate of the athletes hinges on the Ohio Supreme Court, which is actively reviewing a case involving 24 college athletes (including Borovićanin v. NCAA).
• The Pending Briefs: On October 14, 2026, the Ohio Supreme Court temporarily paused the appeals court ruling that had stripped the athletes' eligibility. The justices ordered both sides to submit arguments outlining how Governor DeWine's executive order impacts the litigation. Those arguments were due yesterday, October 19, 2026.
• What Happens Next: The Supreme Court justices will review these briefs to decide whether Governor DeWine's executive order makes the student-athletes' lawsuit moot or if they will issue a final, statewide ruling on whether the Class of 2022 is legally entitled to a fifth year.

Maybe one thread about all the 5th year legal hurdles is sufficient.

Putting it here because it relates to whether or not they play @ College of Charleston 10/25, you guys can post whatever you want in those old threads but I am done with the other thread. This is the part of the season where all new info I post goes in the next upcoming game thread, simple ;)

Furman Forward Charles Johnston has been cleared to play during the 2026-27 college basketball season after a California court granted an injunction in the Glancey v. NCAA case.
The ruling gives covered members of the Class of 2022 eligibility through the end of the season. The NCAA will of course appeal because they have nothing better to do lol..........
