agreed. It has to fit. Big and slow isn't good - you still need to be able to move and get there first... I think that leaves us with only 3 DTs. Of course, I think all of that is subject to change over the spring as we tend to shift in and out of a lot of defensive looks - so, someone's title isn't necessarily relevant to where and how much we may see them on the field.
That is very bizarre. TCU couldn't have offered after he signed with Furman ... he was supposedly Furman bound in late May according to Twitter. But maybe the Horned Frogs lost a player and hinted through the grapevine that he had a spot if he wanted it? Which would be an NCAA violation, but not surprising. Maybe he thought he would start at Furman from day one, and when he realized that it wasn't going to happen he figured he could sit on the bench at Furman or sit on the bench at Big XII TCU closer to home. Or maybe he just got homesick and knew that he could walk on at TCU, which would be completely fair. I have not heard this guy's name mentioned once in all the talks about the QB position ... he doesn't appear on the website or in the signing day release. Did he actually sign?
