Just pointing something out.

Adrian Hope has 12.5 sacks this season (12 solo). That actually puts him as 10th in the SoCon record books for sacks in a season. One more and he will be tied for 6th on that ledger.

Only two SoCon players this decade, Wofford's Ameet Pall (2010) and UTC's Davis Tull (2012) have put up a season like the one Hope is having. That he is doing it as a 6'1 218 lbs freshman backup linebacker having played only 9 games is sort of hard to believe.

If you pan out, the SoCon's all time record for sacks is 37 (Davis Tull - 2011-2014). As a freshman, though, Hope is on pace to obliterate that record. He could be on the SoCon's top 10 all time sack ledger by next season.

If you are curious, Furman's season record for sacks is 17.5 (Bryan Dailer- 1997) and career record is 31.5 (Dailer and Kelly Fletcher - 1986-89).

Long story short, we are watching a kid do right now stuff we haven't really seen anyone do in years.

GoPaladins.com is the latest iteration of The Unofficial Furman Football Page. Launched in August of 1996, The UFFP welcomes fans of all FCS football teams - and fans of the more inferior sports, too - for discussion, cameraderie, and even the occasional smack talk.

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage
