A few thoughts heading into the Mercer game.

By my count, here's where we stand in terms of redshirting.

Hedden, Hall, and Hester have played in every/nearly every game.

I think in the preseason we could have envisioned a world where Hedden and Hall were going to play. Hester obviously made an impression and was getting snaps even with Joshua Harris still on the roster.

Under the radar, but Riley Smith has played in every game as a long snapper. He seems like he'll be the guy there for the next three years.

One surprising name with a lot of playing time has been Jackson Pryor. I'm sure the coaches would have preferred for Joshua Burrell to stay healthy this year, but Pryor has really stepped into that TE2 role.

Another couple of surprising names with a lot of playing time were Javaris Jones and Darren Coleman, two defensive backs. They've played all season, albeit in reserve/special teams roles.

While we've had to play a lot of guys due to departures and injuries, it seems like we are going to be able to redshirt nearly all of the 2024 class' defensive/offensive fronts. I believe among the defensive linemen, only Ty Kaserud has played beyond four games. None of the offensive linemen have anywhere approaching four games.
