Gracious. Hard to find much fault with the 1st half. Mercer's hit the boards hard, but the Bears have precious few missed shots to grab. -- MD

MU has a nice little gym. seats 3200. Design looks like the leaked photos for Dins except for that hideous orange
I drove down from Atlanta for the game last night and was impressed with the arena. I was disappointed with the crowd though, not as full as I thought it would be. I guess 7-11 will do that.

…and it’s a very ugly 7-11 at that.

Worse than the one between Berea and San Souci off of Cedar Lane.

Thats W #124 for CBR

Ties Larry Davis, Davis took 9 years CBR 6

Slaw and Both have 101 of those
Can someone please find it, post, and enlighten us?
Lyles Alley had approximately 260 W?
Joe Williams had approximately 160 W?
Butch Estes had approximately 145 W?
I imagine it is listed some place in the record book so we do not have to add all the numbers.

I think it’s more than a “gym” and not that little, official capacity is 3,500. I think all of us Furmanites would love such a facility.

Who knew?

FUBeAR knew Dizzy McLeod was a Furman Football Player and Head Coach. Didn’t know he was also the Head Basketball Coach, who won almost 80% of his games over 5 years. He also won almost 60% of the Football games he Coached, with multiple wins over South Carolina & Clemson, as well as defeating Georgia. He was also the Head Baseball Coach & the AD…maybe holding all 4 roles concurrently in 1932.

Any books available out there about Coach McLeod?

Seems like it would make an interesting Hollywood movie also…if we can get some sex, a Marvel character or 2, and some “woke” themes included in the storyline.

Yes. They could add a storyline showing he was very sensitive to his players, and always used the proper pronouns.

Okay.

If Ole Diz was flexible enought to coach Football and Basketball, he could prolly go both ways in other areas. Now all we need is the Marvel character.

Well - he was also the Baseball Coach - so he would be Poly - which still works … as far as Marvel characters…We should be able to work one or more of these into the storyline…

* BLACK KNIGHT - Also FUBeAR’s favorite pinball machine in the Student Center
* HEDGE KNIGHT - We have hedges around our field, don’t we?
* MISTY KNIGHT - FUBeAR met a girl named Misty @ the EW one time
* MOON KNIGHT - Moonville is only 20 miles from TR
* STORM - Football Team was the Hurricane in those days

It’s all coming together…

Dizzy: The Woke Knight Rises, a tale of athletic triumphs & forbidden love

All we need are some big money backers like Fred Garvin, Mr. Taggart, and Paul C to stroke some checks and FUBeAR will Executive Produce.

This article doesn’t even mention an upcoming film or Gregg Allman. How is it possibly relevant to this thread?

About Us

GoPaladins.com is the latest iteration of The Unofficial Furman Football Page. Launched in August of 1996, The UFFP welcomes fans of all FCS football teams - and fans of the more inferior sports, too - for discussion, cameraderie, and even the occasional smack talk.

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage
