We might be way underrated. We'll know in a few weeks. The good news is we control our own destiny.

Definitely underrated…as are Mercer, Chattanooga , and Samford.

Buncha goofs do this voting…Montana in Top 10 is insane … prolly shouldn’t be Top 25.

What is crazier is the coaches poll. NC Central is #26 with 48 votes. Campbell beat NCC a couple of weeks ago by 30 and has ONE vote. We won’t even mention Jackson St.

The Coaches Poll is a complete dumpster fire. The AGS , in my opinion, is a much more informed poll...and NOT just because I vote in it.

North Carolina Central drilled a ranked New Hampshire team that has no wins over a team above .500...How about that...There's an obvious bias and it's not worth arguing...Oh and BTW, Montana and NDSU have no better wins than Furman either...They haven't beaten anyone quality....I know Furman has no wins over teams above .500 right now, but something like nine teams ranked don't either...It's dumb.

Will be interesting to see how Campbell does at Jackson St Saturday.

The former NFL All-Pro DB matchup you mean...LOL...Because that's what the media will make that matchup...I think Campbell wins.

As crazy as it might sound, I'm not certain Furman gets ranked this week. There simply isn't much of anywhere for us to go. By my count, the only ranked teams outside the top 10 that lost today were #11, 14, 18, 20, and 21.

#11 Mercer lost to #10 UTC - will drop only a few spots
#14 So. Illinois had a bad loss, but since they are a Valley team and have a FBS win, they won't fall out
#18 UT Martin lost to Tennessee and managed to hang 21 on them. I doubt they are punished for that L.
#20 ND lost to #1 SDSU. As it's their 3rd loss, they SHOULD fall out, but Valley bias probably keeps them in at 24-25
#21 Elon lost big to UNH. Their 3rd loss. They SHOULD drop out, but CAA love and their wins over Richmond and W&M will give some voters an excuse to leave them in.

#23 and 24 did not play and traditionally voters hold their spots.

Villanova has been getting more votes than FU, and 1-5 Albany had them dead to rights with :53 to play but they managed to drive the field for a last second FG. I wouldn't be shocked to see them jump back in the rankings at 4-3.

SELA was just behind us in votes, and they beat transitioning Jax St convincingly on the road.

IMO We should enter to poll at 20-22, but judging by the voting thus far, I'm not counting my chickens.

^^ I decided to watch the SacSt/Montana game…
Interesting game… Montana was missing some key players, and SacSt benefitted from a few calls and won in OT.
I will say Montana plays physical ball, and SacSt is physical on D (knocked out the Griz QB). Both running games don't compare to any of the top SoCon rushing attacks.

Montana is now 5-2, and I'd wager they stay in the top ten.
I don't think they deserve it. (MVC, BS, CAA) get a lot of positive-poll bias.

I just submitted my AGS poll…
I usually don't post some of my polls, but I think I will this week, to compare to how the rest of the AGS votes.

My top ten
SDST
MSU
SacSt
UIW
NDSU
#6 Chatty
HC
W&M
#9 Samford
Weber

I dropped Mercer to 13 and placed Furman at 19 in my poll.
I dropped out of my poll; SIU, ND, Elon.
I did keep UTM at 25.
With the losses of SIU, Elon, and ND, I think Furman realistically fits into the 18-20 range. But if the CAA bias shows its ugly head, look for UNH to break into the top twenty and jump Furman.

UNH leads the CAA right now, so that won't be surprising.

In typical CAA fashion (see the SoCon Thoughts thread), UNH has 6 wins, but 4 have come against the bottom 5 teams in the CAA. They don't play Delaware or W&M.

UNH does have a "bad loss" to NC Central at home by several touchdowns. NC Central lost to South Carolina State yesterday.

In FCS there are 22 Teams with 6 wins. That includes the 4 in the SoCon.

4 of those are btwn Ivy and Pioneer League. Leaving 18 legit

SD would expect Dins in Top 25 with maybe MU falling out

I want to be in the top 25 as much as anyone but we really haven’t done much for votes either. Our 5 d1 wins have come againt teams with a combined record of 10-27. All of those 5 teams are at least 2 games under .500. We have beaten two 3-5 teams, one 2-5 team and 2 1-6 teams and only beaten one of thos convincingky, We had one opportunity and pretty much blew that one. A great opportunity is coming this Saturday, A win this Saturday and we are in the top 25 regardless of what others do. Go ‘dins!

It's as if voters selectively choose to not acknowledge Furman's game at Clemson...Someone on twitter pointed out that UNH had a win at Monmouth and led the CAA...But they got drilled by NC Central who got drilled by Campbell...I said Furman has no bad losses....He said Furman had no good wins...lol...Including a DII win...Mind you, this guy is a voter in the FCS poll...I think Furman needs to just stay in the RV lane and let Roberto and the ground game sort em out...Interesting note...In 18 campaigns since 1982, Furman has started 6-2 or better...Sixteen of those have yielded FCS postseason bids...Only 1991 and 2008 did not.
