If you have rules for a reason, they should be followed. But in this case the rationale for the rule is based on a normal fall season that needs to be wrapped up in time for playoffs. In the current situation it’s hard to see the point in an 11 game per school year limit.

Furmanoid, Thank you. That is at least a reasonable response to my point. To reply that "I am happy we are playing them - I think we can win" isn't really on point - those are absolutely valid thoughts, just not in response to my post.. since I was more questioning an authoritative body not holding people to the rules they put in place.

I guess I shouldn't expect anything more from a body who lets the big boys cheat all over and punishes UMass for telephone jacks or some such. You all see that?

Glad to see that the game is being played, but it should be at Furman. Grant the waiver but FU should get the benefit of the home game if the bellhops get to play an extra game.
