Actually Furman is 56.9% female, 42.8 male. Another argument that doesn’t hold water. Charleston Southern is 62% female and 38% male and has baseball and the other 2 major sports. Wofford 53.2% female and 46.8% male so not much different than FU and again has all 3 sports.
Others:
Anderson 63/37 female had all 3 sports
Clemson 54/46 female has all 3 sports
Quit acting like FU is out there all alone with there female/male ratio when they are not and others have a higher female/male ratio. Every college I looked at had a higher female enrollment.
Where there’s a will there’s a way. Unfortunately under the present leadership at Furman the will to keep baseball is not there. It really stinks because I enjoyed my time there and it was greatly enhanced by being a part of the baseball program.
People support and give to places based on an emotional attachment. For me and many, many others that attachment is gone. It’s certainly not life altering but it’s disappointing and in my biased eyes very unnecessary.
