Sammy board, they always seem to just love us over there! :D

actually some r pretty critical of themselves. Sounds like 3pt shooing has been an issue. IMHO thats the problem with the coninuous press... tired legs at the end of he year. They will recover some this week but once spent it wont last long

My biggest concern coming into this season was outside shooting. By mid January I thought my concern was misplaced, but in the end, it's been a problem.

It's been eight games since we've shot better than 39% from deep. For reference, in just three fewer games, we've already taken 68 more threes than last year's team and our efficiency is about three percentage points lower. We are shooting more and making less. Bucky's offense is heavily predicated on lighting it up from deep, but it is clear that we do not have enough guys who can consistently do that. Couple that with inconsistent defense and subpar rebounding and here we are

The #1 seed has won the SoCon tourney 7 years in a row. Six different champions. No other league has more than a 3 win streak for the #1. Oddly enough the winner of the 2-7 game has been runnerup all 7 times with the 7th seed being runnerup 4 of the 7.

I predict 7th seed VMI will not keep that trend going. UNCG could make the final

Interesting for sure. But the law of probability says that streak is ready to end any year now, increasing every year. I’d take a friendly bet now that it won’t happen that way again this year.

Winning the regular season and getting the top seed is a huge advantage for the tournament. That team gets the most rest between each game and that is a big deal. Let’s not forget about losing an hour of sleep on Saturday too.

I really hate the way the SoCon has now shifted the bracket (starting last season) to screw over the #4 and #5 seeds with the extremely small amount of rest time between Saturday and Sunday games.................

Got some kudos on wccp this morning. A caller brought up FU and then one of the announcers said his wifes side of the family are all FU perps so he keeps up with the Paladins. When he saw the bracket he said FU had the toughest road but predicted that FU would lose to uncg in the finals. Does FU have any chance at postseason if they don’t win the tourney? Don’t see FU spending any to play in the CIT or CBI, no chance at an NIT. Maybe the Vegas tourney? That has to be a longshot. 🤷🏼‍♂️

GoPaladins.com is the latest iteration of The Unofficial Furman Football Page. Launched in August of 1996, The UFFP welcomes fans of all FCS football teams - and fans of the more inferior sports, too - for discussion, cameraderie, and even the occasional smack talk.

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage
