Interesting thought from an ETSU fan on their board:
https://csnbbs.com/thread-1004838.html
"Kenpom ranks Furman at 138, with ETSU right behind them at 139. Despite Furman's strong record, I think ETSU has a better team. Bon Secours Arena doesn't provide the same level of home court advantage that Furman usually has, so I expect ETSU to win the game by 10+."
This guy looking like an idiot tonight
Not to mention kenpom. FU wins and ET jumps them.

Nick Anderson only got 5 shots off tonight. (4-5). 2-2 from 3. Those 2 3 pointers were huge. The buzzer beater at the first half buzzer turned out to be the difference and his late 3 gave us the lead. Clutch! Also 4-4 free throws.

Really nice win. Plenty of mistakes but we toughed it out down the stretch - which is what you have to do come conference time. The games have definitely picked up in intensity and physicality this month. Good to see us answer the challenge tonight. Obviously we can play better, but that gives us something to aim for.

One thing we definitely need to do better is be smarter on those soft passes. ETSU was too successful at jumping the passing lanes and picking up easy steals. We also gave up too many rebounds after their missed shots. Defensive effort strong in the second half. They went from 50+% FG shooting and 40+% in the first half to 42% and 32% for the whole game.

I assumed we made the lineup change to get a better matchup with their 3 guard lineup.

The return game on Sunday Feb. 2nd is on national tv. Love the way CBR explains things puts them in perspective.

I'd recommend watching the postgame presser with CBR on YouTube. ..he goes into a bit of detail.

Anderson needs more shots. Tired of seeing air-balls from some of his team-mates.

Enjoyed the $1 hotdogs last night. They paired well with Wicked Weed! Wish we had hotdogs that good at Paladin Stadium.

playing better with the exception of some really silly high schoolish type turnovers

House didnt play
Noticed that. He has not looked good the last few games in limited appearances..would have been nice if he could have looked better

He’s averaged betwen 17-20 minutes the 3 games before last so could have been sick or a minor injury. He played 19 against WC and had 5 points(1-6) 3 rebounds. He was a big cheerleader Wednesday night. Agree though it would be nice to get a little more from him.

That was probably our 4th best win on the year to date......

1) vs. Princeton (12-4)
2) @ Belmont (13-5)
3) vs. Tulane (10-8)
4) vs. ETSU (10-8)

Other decent wins:
vs. Jacksonville (10-7)
@ Florida Gulf Coast (9-9)

Getting to 16-3 with a W over Chattanooga (11-7) Saturday would be yet another solid Mid-Major win on the season if we can pull it out.............
