The latest occurrence of what is looking like a curse. Devin Sibley was playing great early in his senior year - hitting over 45% of his threes and looking like a sure repeat winner of SoCon POY - when he was injured early in the season. He never really recovered that season. Alex Hunter was hitting over 50% of his threes early in his senior year when he was hurt. He came back and had a good senior year but his 3 pt. % was not as good as before he was hurt. Hope PJ can break the curse.
It is great that we are showing the toughness and composure to keep coming back from second half deficits, but I wish we could win a few more easily.
Not a big surprise that ETSU and UNCG lost. Both games were on the road against teams that have had notable wins already. Jacksonville beat Virginia Tech by double digits on the road and North Florida opened the season with wins at South Carolina and Georgia Tech.
If PJ is out for awhile we really need House to step up and he did in the second half. We have proved vulnerable to sticky, tough man to man defensive pressure and we can count on it for the rest of the season.
