If I understand,
you think our basketball team is getting NIL money but no other sports.
That is NOT what FUBeAR said...
FUBeAR said...
FUBeAR has HEARD/SEEN that the FU Hoops Team paid $300k of NIL money to Players, the bulk (relative to what the 14 other Players rec'd) of which went to a current Auburn Player, in the ~.500 2023-2024 Season that ended with a tied for 4th place, roughly 'middle-of-the-pack,' exit from the SoCon Hoops Tournament, after finishing only ahead of 4 other SoCon Teams in the regular season.
FUBeAR doesn't KNOW if that NIL payment to Hoops Players info is true or false.
FUBeAR has no idea what NIL is/isn't being paid to / earned by FU Student Athletes involved in other FU Sports...
...other than FU Football Player Evan DiMaggio is involved with the Alex's Lemonade Stand Childhood Cancer Charity that is working with Northwestern Mutual & FCS Nation Radio to raise funds for the charity. That effort seems to have some NIL component to it - so, perhaps the Players are paid some small % of the total donations for lending their name, image, and/or likeness to the fund-raising campaign. The total amount donated in DiMaggio's 'bucket' so far is $825.
