I was hoping we would keep it to about 20. We wont see another team that good this season. Keep learning keep growing. We are 35 points away from #1.

Kinda of an odd game. Usually the better team jumps out to a big lead and the underog struggles to make shots then after the game is well in hand the underdog starts making shots. Last night FU started out making shots but after hanging for 15 minutes went cold and stayed cold the rest of the game. We are not going to beat anyone when pjay and NA combine for 9 points. Forget it, on to FGCU.

We need more out of House and Johnston.
not sure if either one can help us..disappointments for sure
That is an ignorant post. Not the "we need more out of House and Johnston." I am referring to the last 2. "Not sure if either one can help" "Disappointments for sure".

Both House and Johnston have had stellar performances in previous games. Neither one was hitting their shots against Kansas and that's why their playing time was limited. CBR tries to go with who is playing the best each game...ie Bronson last night.

I look for House and Johnston to "help" a lot the rest of the season.

So . . . we win 7 straight, lose to the #1 team in the country, and all of a sudden we're in deep doo-doo?

We had a bad shooting night. We won't face another team like Kansas the rest of the season. Plenty of good things lie ahead.
We might see another team like Kansas this season if you count March Madness this season and if we win SoCon Tournament. I realize that’s at least 3 “if’s”.
So “We won’t face … “ may be not true.
“Plenty of good things lie ahead” may be true.

We have now played the top two teams in the country in #1 Kansas and #2 Auburn close to even for the first half, and then fell apart in the second half......
The adjustments Bill Self and Bruce Pearl made on us at halftime worked and should be a good model for the things we need to work on to get ready to contend in the SoCon....

The obvious Kansas strength, right from the tip off was their ability to play high pressure, straight up man to man defense. The Paladins struggled with their man to man pressure. Our lack of an effective inside game made this a tough game to win.

Tough to lose this badly but the kind of test that shows you what you need to improve. We need to develop more low post effectiveness. We have a lot of potential there. I think the story of the season will be determined by our improvement there.
