I think we have our QB1. The guy who figured prominently in all of our Wins.

Congratulations to the Paladins for today's big win! The players and coaches have endured a very difficult season but they never quit. It wasn't perfect but the final score was.

QB played well within himself. Only 1 mistake. Young DB's come up with 3 interceptions. Loved that last drive keeping ETSU from getting the ball back.

I'm more optimistic about next year. We lose JJ, Dimaggio, Clark, Hundley, and Wilson. Anybody else? We have a lot of young players that have gotten a lot of PT this year that should be better next year. Plus the injured players that can come back.

The poster that said earlier we don't have any talent and doesn't like either QB is full of s***.

Anyway. This is the post. Asks who we lose for next year. PaulC and AP both answered the question... Only AP caught heck. Paul did not. Neither should have. Just answering a question. That’s the very definition of Bias. Cmon guys, we are better than that. All on the same team

Anyway I have a follow up question. Is 40 Xavier Stephens eligible for a redshirt or to play next year? I didn’t think so but maybe ??? Anyone know? (He is a stud)

GF, I wasn't giving either Paul nor apaladin any s***. Although ap probably deserves his fair share. I was giving s*** to the poster (and he know who he is) that said FU didn't have any talent and didn't like QB 1 or 2. Then we beat ETSU.

A huge loss will be kicker Ian Williams. There are other seniors that may or may not come back. Only started 4 seniors today, all mentioned above. There were several R-Jr’s that started today so don’t know how many of those will be back. Same for those injured earlier. Probably won’t know until the roster is updated at spring practice.

Already throwing out negative vibes for next year. I almost feel sorry for you. Can’t even enjoy the moment and celebrate a huge win for our Paladins.

But my point was ABSOLUTELY 100% correct. AP mentions here that Ian Williams is graduating. PaulC mentions the DB that is a graduate student and so graduating. Both are merely answering the question that was asked

But ONLY AP catches heck. AP has an answer Ian Williams. PaulC has an answer regarding the DB. Perkins I believe. No one goes off on PaulC saying “negative vibes” etc etc etc. That’s pure bias. Pure bias

So don’t get on me about being whiny. I was ABSOLUTELY CORRECT. I did, however, have it as a mistake that yours was the post. It was another persons post.

AMAZINGLY one guy here - he knows who it is, again NOT anyone in these posts above - asked me to apologize saying that would show my character or some such. So I apologized. Very Happy to do so! He’s right. No man stands so tall as when he kneels or apologizes.

I then asked the same. Remember HE said apologies would show character. I asked him for the same in return. He has YET to do so. Wow, the lack of class. For him To acknowledge that apologies are telling. And then for him - the author of that - to not apologize ???????

Let me recount his transgressions. Exhibit A.

- He asks that I apologize. in a PM. I THEREFORE DO APOLOGIZE.
- I then ask that he apologize. In a PM. SAME EXACT REQUEST. after he even says “it is telling to see if someone apologizes”. HE. DOES. NOT. APOLOGIZE. Think about that. After saying it is telling to see who apologizes. He still doesn’t do it HIMSELF. WOW
- then I read this. I get he is teasing. Just figured he would apologize after the exchange of PMs

Look this above post is funny. I get it. But the lack of his own apology after HE SAID “it would be telling to see if someone apologizes” is rather strange and shows a lack of emotion quotient.

Billy Lewis has been a pleasant surprise this year.

Looking back, he was listed as the "backup" at strong safety in the preseason as a freshman who I do not believe really saw the field at all last year.

He's started a free safety most of the season. At least in the preseason write up, there were at least three players ahead of him on the depth chart at that position.

He leads the team in interceptions with 3. That would be good enough for 3rd on last year's ledger, one off from Blackshear and two off from Chizik.

Speaking of Lewis, we may see a great deal more stability in the backfield next season. With the likely exception of Perkins, we should return the entire defensive backfield.

Most of our corners will be sophomores. With Lewis demonstrating he has that "ball hawking" safety makeup, we could probably have a nice little mix back there with Williams, McCleod, and Lewis. We should also have AK Burrell and Justin Hartwell back, which should add stability to the safety/spur spot.

I was so dejected over Wofford and so elated over the ETSU win I forgot to post... haha.

Seriously, 8 proved the maxim I have been saying all season, he can win games for you or lose them. He has matured over the season and is beginning to eliminate the bad decisions. If he plays within the offense, we will win games. Shoot, if you take some of those soul searing mistakes away, we probably win ChsSo, VMI and maybe W&M. But only because he made plays that put us in position to win.

Run game is coming along. Change at C helped an we are beginning to understand what we can and cannot do with what we have.

Emergence of TE in throw game is huge!

This offense is beginning to develop the foundations of an identity that will serve us well next year. Now if we can just keep this team together and keep people out of the portal...
