The problem with FU Hoopla's posts is they are dismissive of the football team. After a loss he posted something like "at least basketball season begins soon." For a football fan, we don't wanna hear that in our season on the UFFP's football thread. It sounds somehow insulting, invites an unparallel comparison, and is just plain whiney.

But let me get to the real issues for FU Hoopla. Possums have the shortest gestation of any mammal in North America. Its only 12.5 days. The little babies, called joeys, are pumped out of the filthy possum vagina 16 to 25 in a batch. Each nasty little baby is about the size of a booger, and is hairless, pink and repugnant. I do not know if they are edible. I do know you can roll them in EZ Wider but they don't smoke good. Anyway, the little tiny joeys crawl from the putrid possum abomination canal to the pouch, which is a distance of about two inches. There the little tiny joeys grapple onto an possum teet by swallowing it. Yessir, swallowing it. There they fester, these 16 to 25 reprehensible little freaks, until they get some wirey hair and develop them beady eyes, and then they come out and eventually make their way to a garbage can. And that's why FU Hoopla caught so much grief on this thread.

If you want to defend someone without being a hypocrite then you might want to find someone else to defend...

Hoopla (Version 8.0) always does the same schtick. Runs down the football program as part of his bizarre view that if football can suck enough it will be banished and the University and all of its donors will immediately dump money into basketball and Hoopla will have been the catalyst. This is the point where he gets some push back for being an irritant and then begins posting and re -posting on whatever he posted on 5 minutes ago. After some relatively mild confrontation he gets the vapors and stumbles to his fainting couch and informs us he is done with trying to illuminate the unwashed once and for all. Like Lazarus he reappears several weeks later with a different name…. rinse and repeat.

A few truths/facts....

In 30 years on this website I have had a grand total of 4 different names chief

I liked football a lot and hyped it on here more than ANYONE until FU could not keep pace with App St. and GSU and FCS football became a watered down product, I still like Football but its nowhere near what it was...

FU Basketball over the past 10 years has seen a massive resurgence and has done some incredible things on the NATIONAL stage, the potential for it moving forward is immense, I am ALLDIN baby

Oh wake up and smell the possum, Hoopla. We're arguing over nuthin.

Regarding Football, I'll be honest with you guys: I don't really care for Neil DeGrasse Tyson anymore. In every interview and every show he talks nonstop and interrupts people. He just can't stop talking - an overbearing pedantic gasbag. And its sad, because I used to love those shows where they'd cart out that egghead and he'd explain something accurately but in a way that I could understand it.

As to Hoopla's other point, Beverly Hillbillies has a few flaws. First, Ellie May was babe-a-lona, so why weren't those California boys all calling on her at the mansion? Second, Jethro is mentally deficient (what we used to call retarded, but the word was taken away because it sounded offensive to people, even though the word contained within itself a kindness of just meaning "slow") - I don't think we should use the handicapped for comedic effect. Its not nice. Uncle Jed and Granny were cool, but hopelessly unauthentic. They were cartoonish characters of a stereotype, and that hackneyed standard was worn down a long time ago. Jumping down the list of characters, I do want to add that Jane Hathaway was likely an enthusiastic lover, but her deficient personal grooming habits and poor hygiene negated all the gains she made with that enthusiasm. And that's a cryin' shame.
