Fairly positive that Keon Ellis was on a two way contract until this season and just started the game and played a major role in them winning down the stretch, albeit due to injuries. Slaw is in a good spot and can be on a contributor to that team.

I’m sure they want him to get his 3pt shooting more consistent (26% in the G league) and turnovers down.

Seems like when he’s dressed for a Sacramento game, the coach only puts him in for literally the last minute when they have a big lead.

Jalen played the most minutes of any Stockton King last year and led the team in rebounding. He probably needs to increase his 3-pt percentage (26.4%) and his overall offensive game to become a rotational player at the NBA level. Hopefully he keeps improving. I would guess they'd give him another shot at the rotation again next year.

Kings eleminated the Warriors tonight in tne play-in thingy. Jalen was not on playoff roster. I believe you can only have 14. Hope he gets traded in the off season.
2 ways cannot be used in the playoffs unless signed to a regular contract. 2 way players have only ever been traded twice. He's in a good situation and hoepfully he will get another 2 way next year.

Any visibility on how his numbers compare to those of other King's 2-ways? Seems like Jalen's production consistently improved through the season - especially towards the end - so I'm hopeful for him as well.
Kings 2 ways;

Jordan Ford (25 y/o) , PG: 31 Min. 15.5 PPG, 2.7 RPG, 4.2 APG, 43% 3 PT
Mason Jones (25 y/o), G: 33 Min. 16 PPG, 5.2 RPG, 8.O APG, 47% 3PT

Slawson (24 y/o rookie), F: 34 Min. 13 PPG, 7.0 RPG, 3.5 APG, 1.2 SPG, 1.3 blocks

He improved greatly later in the season too. shot 54% from 3 in the playoffs

Just found out that accordng to ESPN Jalen is a free agent now so he could sign with anyone hopefully.
I feel like its more up to him signing with any team that wants a 2-way. With the draft coming up theres a lot of people who they might want instead

Apparently he has re-signed with the Kings.
Great news. He is a good fit with the Kings. Am I reading this correctly? Jalen's contract is for one year at a salary of $1,867,722? https://www.spotrac.com/nba/player/_/id ... en-slawson
That’s the way I read it. He will be a restricted free agent the following year. Good for him!

He really deserves a better shot. I truly believe he has more raw talent than a few players on the Kings full time roster. Hopefully he'll have a more expanded role next year

That’s surprising, not doubting you but don’t see it official anywhere. People were saying on here recently that he was extended for another year, but I don’t think that was accurate. He’s going to have to be an elite defender and hit 35% plus from 3 to have a chance of staying in the league. He was a G league highlight reel but that’s not enough.
