I admit I wanted the Mercer Gardner Webb duo. Mercer was an easier win for us. UTC is TOIGH because they stop the run. We were lucky to win last time.

It was always a stretch to think we were going to get a # 2 seed from this committee. We were likely going to end up in Montana sooner or later. Got 2 weeks to get healthy and give it our best shot.

AP beat ETSU like 60-3. And we know UTC is a far harder SoCon draw than Mercer for us.

It’s all about. MATCHUPS. we don’t do well Bs teams that can stop the run and UTC is phenomenal on DL and LBs.

Just saying this looks about the worst draw for us


I’m not even thinking of Montana. This 2nd round scares me

Mercer is a very good team and much more dynamic on O than Chattanooga. Glad we aren’t playing them second round. It is the playoffs… everyone is pretty good .

I’m not worried about Chatt at home with a heathy Huff. I’ll take whatever we can get for extra games after the regular season now. Put it all behind us and learn from it. Go Paladins. FUATT!

Like I said Austin Peay is arguably the best of the at large. They gave UT all they wanted and also lost their first game to a really good S. Illinois team. They have won 9 in a row. The only reason UTC got in is their AD is on the committee. That is BIG obviously. Austin Peay will be in Greenville on Dec. 2nd. Take it to the bank.

One other thing why do they never make a Dakota/Montans team come south but they always make a southen team or 2 go there!

Austin Peay has won 9 in a row.

They beat Gardner-Webb 41-14.

They score a lot.

They beat us 42-6 in playoffs in 2019.

I like our chances against Chatt better than AP.

Also a Chatt win over AP would be good for the conference.
A tough draw for sure.

Well we got a seed but no favors. 7 seed. Off this week but then UTC ) or Austin Peay who killer people

It’s all about MATCHUPS. . UTC stops the run - we need to run some…. with a great DL and we escaped 17-14. Austin peay beat ETSU 63-3 and we beat ETSU 16-8. Oh man. At least we get a week off to scout and healthy but if Austin Peay wins we may be an underdog on our own field.

And I’m not being negative. Just objective. Most had us playing Mercer or Gardner Webb. We woulda been a large favorite on both. We beat Mercer easy this year because they can’t stop us running

Just look at yesterday w Woff or UTC as compared to Western Carolina or Mercer. It’s much easier for us to play when we can run. We could run vs Western and Mercer. Win by 20 on Mercer. UTC has a great DL and we couldn’t run much and we escaped.

I’ll be watching that game of UTC v Austin Peay. APU gives me PTSD

GF promise you Austin Peay will be here, not UTC. Like I said the only reason UTC got in is because their AD is on the committee. In all reality AP should have gotten a seed over Montana St, Villanove and even FU. We got the worst draw possible but all we had to do was beat Woffy and we completely blew it.

Look at our scores vs Mercer and UTC. we killed Mercer. We escaped Chatt. Also Chatt did as expected and beat on Mercer. Chatt is much more physical

That said I don’t think we will see UTC. APSU is better I think

Heck we ran - just rushing yards alone - for more on Mercer than we got TOTAL yards on a one win Wofford team. Think about that. People really don’t account for matchups enough. Something in the Mercer run stopping scheme doesn’t work well v Furman this year
