The NEXT season, they were 24-2, 10th-ranked nationally, but they also did not win the tourney that year. They lost in the tournament semi finals by 2 to WVU, in OT. The only other loss that year was to St. Joseph’s (PA) in the second game of the season.

When Furman beat Davidson on Feb. 13th, 1964 70-55, DC was undefeated and ranked #2 in the country in at least one poll but definitely a top 5 team at the time. Of course this was the 10th anniversary of Frank Selvy's 100 point game. I watched this game with a friend up in the last row of the high end of the old Memorial Auditorium.
