UNCG is playing at Elon tonight. The first half was almost a carbon copy of the Furman-Elon game. UNCG with a quick 6-0 start and lead by 6-9 points the entire half. It ended with UNCG up 8. But early in the second Elon went on a run to cut it a 1 point deficit and Elon is up 48-47 at the 13:25 mark. Center James Dickey isn't playing for UNCG tonight.
UNCG sneaks out with the win - 75-74. Last half of the game sounds frantic. Elon built an eight point lead midway through the second half but UNCG got a flurry of steals and tied it up. It was back and forth until Elon went up by six with three minutes left but couldn't hold the lead again.
Difference in the game was FT shooting. The Spartans hit 12-14 while the Phoenix only hit 11-20.
