Significantly less? Doubt it, maybe a few less but Albany is already not many rows.Sad Din wrote: ↑Thu Apr 13, 2023 4:40 pmHope you are right. The difference is the # of rows. Dins will be significantly less.
Due to wanting to be 360, the limiting factor will be the concourse on the end zone seating. If there were not a concourse there, they could add bleacher type seats like Samford has to increase seating but lets be real... will they ever be used?
Albany has 17-18 rows. The design pictures for Dins was 10-11. Timmons is shaped like a triangle. The tip of the triangle is the endzone. The concourse will take so make of this area. whats left is what available for seating.FU Hoopla wrote: ↑Thu Apr 13, 2023 4:49 pmSignificantly less? And what concourse are you talking about? The entire interior of Timmons Arena will be gutted out and the court will be repositioned, there is going to be plenty of room to add whatever we want.

That will determine the #rows possible

Currently there are about 50-55 seats per sideline row in Timmons. 10 rows would only be 500 seats per side are a total of 1,000 sideline seats so you would think at least 15 rows and that would still only be 1,500 sideline seats. Anything less would be a huge mistake. So afraid the mistake made 25 years ago will be repeated. From what we are hearng it seems history will repeat itself.Sad Din wrote: ↑Thu Apr 13, 2023 5:01 pmAlbany has 17-18 rows. The design pictures for Dins was 10-11. Timmons is shaped like a triangle.
