I would like to know if they have an update on the band solution, as of that podcast they did not know what they were going to do should the NCAA tourney appearance come to fruition.

Is not he where the buck stops? The one with ultimate responsibility. Maybe you want it to be on Richey. Or do we think it has to go all the way to the University President, (which would absolutely waste HER time)?

…Since the Pep Band is part of Marching and Pep Bands, which is part of Bands, which is part of Ensembles, which is part of Music, which is part of Academics which is led by a VP who reports to the University President ( https://www.furman.edu/academics/music ... hing-band/) AND Basketball is part of Athletics which is led by a VP who reports to the University President, this situation is an interdepartmental / intra-university conflict, the earliest (lowest level) nexus of which seems to arrive at the University President level. Thus, it would seem that “the buck” blows by JD the VP/AD’s door on this one.

The attendance (or not) of the Pep Band at Basketball games (NCAA Tournament or otherwise)(beyond their admittance, accommodations, safety & security at home venues and such..and, (perhaps) to a lesser extent at non-home athletics events) would seem to fall outside of his mandate.

From the Samford Board …

“The Mercer band at the end of their [Women’s] game were given purple "Furman Honor Band" t-shirts and appeared to be the rental band since Furman band can't come. Now the Mercer kids have shed the aforementioned t-shirts, deposited them in a cardboard box, and have left the building.”

Shoulda gone with the FUBeAR & Freebird Traveling Kazoo Revue & ShowBand offer. Guess we were asking for more than the cost of the T-Shirts. Lesson learned (hopefully) … Youze gets whats youze pays for!
