- Only 17 Assists.
Seriously? That's one of your concerns coming out of this game?

FYI, 17 assists - and assists on 75 percent of your field goals - is actually good.

A slap in the face back to reality. Everytime we think we are really good we lay an egg. This is the biggest egg in CBR tenure. Looked like we thought all we had to do was show up. Citadel came out with energy, FU did not. They punched us in the mouth and we had no answer. Just a reminder to never get your hopes up too high with any FU team as disappointment is right around the corner every time.

I really want to play them again in Asheville. Too bad they won’t make it to Friday.
We couldn’t play them until Saturday. Bottom 4 play Friday. We mathematically can’t finish in the bottom 4.

On further thought I agree with you. There are more pressing concerns. I was focused on Assits-to-Turnovers (17 to 12) as we like to see 20 to 10. But I take your point.

FU was overdue for a stinker and this sure was one. Simple game. You make 65 points, you are likely to lose. Bothwell probably played the worst game of his career. We are not as good as everyone thought yesterday and not as bad as it appears tonight. Better to have that clunker tonight than in Asheville. That’s what it always comes down to in a 1 invite league.

So my understanding is if we win out we would still be # 1 seed-so in a way this loss, as embarrassing as it was, does not keep us from controlling our own destiny. Correct?

This was our worst loss in the last 8 years............... imagine that.....

Team was not ready to play from the outset and that's on Bob Richey
1. We gave Presbyterian 20 percent of their wins for the 2016-17 season in the season opener that year.

2. Started the game 6-for-6 from the floor with a 14-8 lead.

Most frustrating part about tonight is we fell in those same traps that plagued this team in non-conference and early conference. Getting lay-upped to death. Being even in rebounds by a team we're much better at on the boards. Losing confidence when the going gets tough.

The turnovers were particularly lousy down the stretch. Just lack of focus and being outhustled.

We played SOFT from the get goooooo, that is a fact, Citadel ate our lunch inside on both ends

And this loss was way WORSE than that season opener, this team was suppose to be rolling and favored by 16 tonight

So yeah I was correct on both accounts as it stands, nice try though ;)

Correct, what I have been saying all alone but of course now no room for error. Have to win the next 2 home games for the Samford game to have any meaning. Remember last year we looked unbeatable then stunk it up and lost 3 in a row. Can’t afford that this year.

All of this. It was Western's first win in the series in 13 games earlier this season. It was Citadel's first win over us since 2018. I mean you just don't typically have winning streaks that long against multiple teams in your conference.

We played pretty damn well for the next nine games after our last loss. No reason that can't happen again.

Better hope our LONG win streak against Mercer stays alive for this season

I get what you're saying, but there are a few teams in this league that don't play nearly as hard as Citadel. I'd settle for one of those.
