This is an excellent article about how the success of the basketball program is adding to the bottom line of the University. They want to be the Gonzaga of the east coast. “College of Charleston’s hoop success good for school’s bottom line.” https://www.postandcourier.com/sports/c ... 8489c.html

There is no reason why Furman cannot do the same. Hopefully, the final dollars needs to get Timmons Arena redone will come in sooner than later.

Every Furman supporter, athletics and non-athletics, needs to read this excellent article.
Also, we need to play CofC in basketball as often as we can. (And for Furman, the same is true with us needing to play certain other schools in basketball as often as we can, namely Clemson, South Carolina, Davidson, Charlotte, and Georgia.)

Basketball is a tough sport to go undefeated in. For any level. Even the more talented teams can be slightly off one night when the opposition is on and fired up.
