How did Wofftard beat Texas A&M??

Great performance on ESPNU by FU tonight, show everyone we are still here to contend for the title!

SHOCKED we let the little Wofford guard score 25 points. We gave him too many easy shots but he made some tough ones also.
He watched One on One last night.

Paveletzke is very good and he’s just a true Fr. if he sticks around he’ll be a pain in our tails for 3 more years.

Thought we did a very good job tonite of showing some grit and toughness after terrible starts to both halves.

And yes the bench was big. Alex Williams and Vanderwal (no “h”) will be interesting to watch develop over the next few years.

Williams is going to be real good. To paraphrase Joe Williams “ This team is about to gel.” We will be better in February.

GUYS I see all this talk about getting a new basketball arena… stop that. We have a brand new one called Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium :)

I know it’s inconveniently placed in Spartanburg (yuck) but y’all really seem to enjoy filling it up!! Once you kick the mutts out, it really is a nice place!

Indeed Wofftard only gets good home crowds now when the Paladins are in town :D

I was hoping maybe he just had the wind knocked out of him. Hope he's okay.
I hope it is not a concussion. He took a hard elbow to the face.
Hein is very likely a concussion, saw them doing a concussion test in the tunnel

I watched the replay of that game.
It needs to be repeated I suppose. Almost anybody can beat almost anybody these days. Wofford had a decent performance but not out of the ordinary. Texas A&M didn't play bad, just slightly worse. A&M shot slightly better overall but slightly worse from three point range. The Terriers had a few more rebounds and a few less TOs. Wofford trailed most of the early part of the game but caught up in the last 10 minutes. The game was the last one before Christmas and the Aggies may have left for home mentally a little early. After the Terriers caught up A&M seemed to lose focus and rush some shots late. Paveletzke scored Wofford's first 9 points when they were struggling and their last 9 to close out the game. He played better against A&M than he did against Furman today.

Wofford only lost by 3 to LSU and Vanderbilt. They are a dangerous team.

This was a good win for us today. They came out hot but we held firm despite missing some guys and closed out the game like a winner should.

As new owners, we will definitely want to rename the facility.

How about “The Joseph Vaughn Memorial Furman North Arena?” We can call it “The Joe” for short.

“Pegues career high 24 points leads Furman past Wofford 96-82.” https://www.wspa.com/sports/pegues-care ... ord-96-82/

“The victory marked Furman’s second straight triumph in Spartanburg for the first time since 2003-04 and gave the Paladins their first three-game winning streak versus Wofford since 2007. The 96 points were the most by a Paladin team on the road against Wofford since a 109-86 victory in Spartanburg during the 1969-70 campaign.”
