Samford at NDSU. 7 PM Friday ESPN2
UIC at Sac. St. 10:30 Friday espn+
Holy Cross at SDSU Noon Saturday ESPN
W&M at Montana St Friday 10:15 ESPN2
Updated above:
3 games on Friday. The only one not on espn channel is UIW/SSU. Have they ever had 3 quarterfinals on Friday night? Have to wonder if Furman had won would the schedule be the same?

With all the publicity Lindsey Scott has gotten I would think that might be the most interesting one to have on an ESPN channel.

Teams left:

2 Big Sky 4-3
2 Missouri Valley 2-1
1 CAA -record 4-4 in playoffs
1 Southern -2-1
1 Southland -2-1
1 Patriot -1-1

I easily could be wrong in the W-L here

Furman and Samford… IMO showed that the SoCon has talent and is underrated.
The way the polls are working currently, I don't see a top-four seed as possible for anyone in the SoCon. Those top-four seeds are entrenched out west for now.

Samford and Furman are the FCS's greatest hope of winning a matchup head-to-head out west in the quarters or the semis.

Good to see the stadium packed. I think it holds about 20k?Most peeps have one or the others colors on so prolly not a lot of local support. Kudos for fans of the 2 schools making the long trip. Wonder what attendance would be like if say Furman and Samford were playing for the NC?

I will give the Dakota schools this -

one.. they play PHYSICAL OL TOUGH. I love it.

Two - their fans show up in force (8000 plus per school that far away ?) and REALLY wear the school colors and cheer loud etc. This is where Furman needs to really step up. Even 1k more fans at home games would really help. These teams have beer trains and everyone wearing school colors. it is VERY impressive

well, when the entire state population is about the same as the Gville-Spa-Ash area and no pro Teams around, what esle you got to do?

Agree! I spend time in SD every fall hunting. Great people, beautiful scenery but if your not an outdoorsman, not much to do there.

So…SDSU beats NDSU 12x as bad on a neutral field as they did in Fargo.

How much does (10-0 FCS) #6 Seed Samford or (10-1 Overall) #7 Seed UIW beat (9-1 FCS/9-2 Overall) #3 Seed NDSU by on a neutral field?

Furman made great progress in coaching and personnel this year. We even got lucky/smart with bringing in a grad QB and Huff was the right one. It looks like our recruiting was helped by our showing in the playoffs as. I love the fact that we seem to be building an outstanding receiving corps. I think a really good passing game has more to do with the guys going after the ball than throwing it. We clearly belonged in the picture. Is it realistic to think we can beat these big state schools and win the FCS championship? Can a school of our size and academic standards compete against programs not similar to ours in this environment? We were one play away from going pretty deep into the playoffs. Actually one questionable holding call. We return a lot of talent for 2023 and our recruiting efforts seem to be bearing fruit. I would think there is a grad transfer or two on the horizon as well. Can we really handle those big old Dakota/Montana farm boys or cowboys or whatever the hell they are?
