I agree they are good. But they've played against suspect competition. I don't care that they've put up "video game numbers."

They aint gonna be playin a video game team. How many times have we seen these teams with "high powered offenses" get their lunch eaten by tough, physical defenses with ball control offenses?

My money is on the Paladins. We'll see how Incarnate World does when they get hit in the mouth and their QB gets his ribs rearranged by one of our DL's and or LB's.

And P.S. A fake field goal might not be a good idea.

Back in 1985, yep some of you weren’t born yet, :D we played Rhode Island in the playoffs and their air attack. I know different era, but we kicked the living crap out of them. I’m not saying we will do this to IWU, but we can play with anybody. I firmly believe this. We play hard nosed physical ball and we can light it up too. At this time of the year style points mean nothing, just win!

Those are impressive highlights. Big and long receivers. Powerful running back. Defense going to have its hands full.

Yes, very impressive! Flagman, cancel your reservations. We are going to get our butts kicked. :D No mistakes by us, and dictate the tempo as much as possible.

Ah yes I remember that game. IIRC RI Aattempted 60 passes, and didn’t attempt a running play until the 3rd quarter. It was like 38 degrees at game time in PS. Final was 59-7.

Yeah, I remember that game too. They didn't run the ball until well into the the second half. There was a mock cheer from the Furman crowd when they ran it the first time. It was all short passing completions for them. They moved the ball between the 20s well but had no ability to punch it over from the red zone. On one short pass completion to their big tight end in the middle of the field he caught the pass and looked around and fell right down to avoid getting his ribs hit again. That was when I was sure the game was a lock.

From LSU to Incarnate Word, 7th-year QB Lindsey Scott Jr. is thriving at his 5th school

Last week a TWENTY THREE yr old NC State starter.. this week an LSU / Missouri SEVENTH YEAR (24?).. I am glad we may get Huff again but I think 6 years ought to be the cap. When you start talking seventh year of playing in college it just seems wrong to me somehow

Scott is an interesting cat.

He has an interesting history in essentially playing for a different school every year of his career. It's also a little unique to see a 5'11 212 lbs QB in a pass heavy offense. He's essentially built like a running back.

There is a lot of social media buzz with Kinne being looked at for both Tulsa and Texas State jobs. That might end up an unnecessary distraction.

I am surprised at how young UIW's coaching staff is. The head coach is 33. The OC appears to be in his late 20s. Their most veteran on field coach is a 2008 grad.

For most of the coaching staff, this is their first year with the program.
