Yes. Numbers on the field house but they get autobid to playoffs.
If we end up tied with Samford, that means they will have lost to someone.

There's a better than decent shot that we'll have three teams tied for first in SoCon.

2 way, 3 way, or 4 way, all those involved would be co-champs.

All co champs if tie. 2 or 3 or 4. year on fieldhouse and guys get rings! Huge

There is only one autobid per conference however no matter how many tie.

Right now Samford hasn’t lost so they control everything but we can win and make playoffs. We can perhaps/probably lose to Mercer and best Woff and make playoffs.

FYI - Mercer Stadium

Sections 110, 111, and 112 are, as you can see, on the Visitors side and somewhat behind what will be the FU bench. Great seats.

Section 108 - on the other side, is directly in front of where Fall Line Brewing https://falllinebrewingco.com/beers/ will set up their ‘outlet.’ FUBeAR believes that’s the only place to buy beer in Five Star Stadium. You are able to walk around the stadium, but only at the Field House end…so, it’s a LONG walk over there and back to get a beer. Also, unlike Paladin Stadium, no ‘pass outs.’

Some may want to take this info into consideration as they are selecting their seat location.

Perfect first road trip in the new car…
now I have to talk the wife into letting me go to Macon.
Note to all guys out there, don't get a new car and a new pup simultaneously.

I did it too! Pup stays in a crate in the car.

Addendum for all the guys: please note that a wife is also optional :D

It's interesting for two SoCon teams to both be coming off a bye week heading into a game.

I think Mercer's defensive coaches will have their work cut out for them. Post-game interviews suggested that Furman had kept a lot of powder dry in their offensive playbook until they met up with UTC. The Mocs have a top 10 FCS defense, and struggled at times to sort out what Furman was doing offensively.

What seemed fairly clear watching the game is that Huff was a better runner than UTC was expecting him to be. He's built like a safety and runs like a running back, with excellent acceleration, field vision, awareness, and the ability to make tacklers miss. The blocking game was precise and UTC defenders frequently seemed to be misreading what was actually happening in front of them.

In my opinion, Furman throws stuff at a defense they won't normally see in FCS football. The QB can run. The running backs are big and fast. All of the backs can catch and run. Even if not used as a ball carrier, the running backs are big enough and strong enough to serve as a lead blocker for the ball carrier. There are several playmakers on the field in the passing game at all times. The offensive line is experienced and very good.

I was most impressed by Huff's leg strength and drive after contact. Several times he kept the pile moving forward.
