Darn. I was hoping he would at least make it to Nov 19.
THIS. They can't do worse. I wanted him to get KSU (good for conference) and win maybe 3 games early (maybe Elon would be super weak) so he made it another year. It's only in our benefit for Woff to keep on suckin'. I wanted 3-8 to 5-6 but a flawed team, yet his connections kept Conklin. Oh well, can't have it all. It's been kinda fun to watch but man what a crash and burn soo fast !!!!!

Will be truly interesting to see how they do the rest of the year ! I think they have lost 15 in a row? What if they win 2.. do you keep the interim' guy.? I would. I am big on giving an interim coach another year if he takes the same dudess and improves quickly

Shawn Watson, the Terriers' assistant head coach and offensive coordinator, will serve as interim head coach for the remainder of the season.

Hadn't heard that .. will be interesting to see how he does and how things play out this season now. Do they mail it in or can he get them to fight even if that means losing but trying some days.

Do yall think it was all coaching (obviously a HUGE part of it) or some talent also ? Do they have the talent to compete or did they lose a lot of players?

All of the above.

My impression of Conklin was that he was not a particularly effective leader. Wofford has had a lot of coaches and players leave the program the last several years, so it was pretty clear that no one was really buying his vision. He seemed to have little support amongst the fan base.

While I do not believe the Terriers are void of talent, in my opinion, they lack depth. They have a few solid performers, but very few second and third line players behind them.
