I may want to make several comments, but the only topic I want to address presently is Wofford and UofSC. Why is it that UofSC always gives Wofford so much preference in their in-state scheduling? Seems this has been the case for years. I see no reason they should give Wofford priority in scheduling over any other South Carolina school except Clemson and possibly other D1 public colleges in SC. I believe an analysis of scheduling over an extended time period would show that Wofford gets undue preference in contracts from UofSC. If I am incorrect, which is of course possible, I hope someone will tell me and give the evidence.

I especially like what Furman, VMI, and WCU have lined up. The others are presently less impressive.
Of course, it also matters greatly what other OOC opponents get lined up by any of the SoCon teams, definitely including the question of what OOC FCS schools Furman is going to get.

Maybe Mercer is going FBS after 2023 and is waiting to see if the SEC is going to require the Bears to play 8 or 9 Conference games before they lock in their schedule.






* And FUBeAR ain’t so sure that game with Yale in Maconga is ‘set,’ either (no date showing anywhere). Yes, Mercer went up there and Yale owes (unless they’ve already bought it out) Mercer a return game. FUBeAR just doesn’t see Yale University sending a high profile sports Team into the heart of the “flagship of the Jim Crow 2.0 South” (GA). Now, if Stacey Abrams defeats Brian Kemp for the Governor’s office this Fall, FUBeAR would think it’s GAME ON and a “big show” will be made out of the Eli’s missionary-like visit into the formerly heathen, now conquered territory and it’s emergence from darkness on the road to utopia. If the picture can be painted vividly enough, heck, that game could end up on ESPN in Prime Time.

The Jacksonville State series was canceled since they announced they were going to CUSA. They refused to play in Chattanooga. Honestly I hate to lose JSU as we had a good rivalry with them. We replaced them with Kennesaw State, which is a good fit too. We haven't developed a rivalry with them yet, but being just 100 miles down I-75, it only make since that we play each other.
