Transfer Portal vs High School Recruiting

I was watching this podcast episode that former OL Cole Neely shared on Twitter with Quarles. Interesting insight on the transfer portal and how that can bring in talented recruits to smaller schools.

Any thoughts to this?

The way it is going high schoolers will just go straight to the portal. Coaches can then figure out how much to pay each and go from there. High bidder wins!
