One thing I've noticed that happens in recent years is a few teams that are projected to be in, opt to not participate in NIT, opening up a few more slots

Go Colgate Raiders
Go Vermont Catamounts
Go Montana St. Bobcats
Go Long Beach St. um…dunno…Harbor Seals, maybe?
Go Iona Gaels
Go Norfolk St. Spartans
Go Toledo Rockets
Go Princeton Tigers
Go Nicholls Colonels
Go Alcorn St. Braves
Go New Mexico St. Aggies
Just wanted to see if FUBeAR could get ‘em all from memory. He failed. Used to live in LA, but didn’t follow the Long Beach Oil Slicks? during his time there. Rest of ‘em correct?

EDIT - had to look it up. They were the 49ers, but changed to “Beach” in 2019-2020. They are the Long Beach State Beach…sonofabeach, who woulda guessed that
I thought they were 49ers. Easy Ed Ratliff. -- MD

We really need to hope Wake Forest pulls off the win today against lowly Boston College. A loss might knock them out of the NCAA tournament.

Dang it. The Deacons go down. March Madness.
That really shouldn’t matter should it? If WF falls to the NIT someone from the NIT just moves up. Still think WF goes to ncaa.

Clempson loses by one point in OT on a 3 pointer at the buzzer. That eases the pain just a little. :D

They have Richmond at 19-12 #91 in the NET, FU 22-12 #80 in the NET. I may be totally wrong but iIRC when FU made the NIT a couple of years ago, after all the NCAA teams were accounted for etc the NIT went right down the NET and took the next available teams by their NET ranking.

This one should not effect us. Louisiana Tech was a probable NIT bid along with UAB in C-USA. The final score in this game was 42-36.

GoPaladins.com is the latest iteration of The Unofficial Furman Football Page. Launched in August of 1996, The UFFP welcomes fans of all FCS football teams - and fans of the more inferior sports, too - for discussion, cameraderie, and even the occasional smack talk.

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage
