• When It May Occur

22 days and 7 hours from now we may be celebrating Furman’s first SoCon Tournament championship in 42 years. When that occurs we will be exuberant and perhaps acting like Furman basketball has arrived.
At that same time, we may be feeling anxiery about the probability of losing our truly wonderful coach, one or more assistants, plus one or more players.
And also at that same time, we may be feeling anxiety about who we will be playing in the NCAA first round and where.
The message is to not get too up nor too down.
Be glad we have a good group of people.

Geez... didnt realize a trip to the tourney came with all that! Maybe its better they dont get it.... just sayin'

Remember when Mayberry was all upset they didnt get the railroad to come thru Mayberry and then they realized how it would have changed Mayberry? Maybe Dins are the same? Who needs fame, fortune and a spot on the big stage?

I am really dreading the end of the basketball season for no other reason than for the first time in Furman athletic history there will be no football, basketball or baseball for 6 months. Very, very sad.

If I lived up there I would go to those tennis matches. You’ll see some high level stuff there.

Thanks but no thanks on the other sports. Only one I would be remotely interested in would be softball and they lost to Tarleton St 10-3 yesterday and 9-0 to Bellarmine today so that would be a no also. Guess I will have to indulge in the new USFL. Looks like MLB won’t be habppening for a while. I can always watch my 2 other favorite college baseball teams and that is whoever is playing CU and SC.

A real winner like apaladin can’t be associated with a softball team that would lose games with him in attendance.

Tough to follow those sports from afar. No ESPN+ or radio coverage that I’m aware of. Unless Dan plans on covering softball since we have a void in Spring now?

Why is it not enough to just follow news articles about each team on furmanpaladins.com?

Please remember that this thread is actually about men’s basketball and about how we all may be celebrating, just 21 days plus 90 minutes from right now, Furman’s championship for the first time in 42 years in that highest-profile sport.

About Us

GoPaladins.com is the latest iteration of The Unofficial Furman Football Page. Launched in August of 1996, The UFFP welcomes fans of all FCS football teams - and fans of the more inferior sports, too - for discussion, cameraderie, and even the occasional smack talk.

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage

GoPaladins.com is not affiliated with Furman University or its athletics programs.
