Agonizing night. Mercer absolutely choked. I thought the coaches decided we were better resting starters and giving the bench more minutes. Minutes for the starters was back up again.

Its like a broken record, the same thing down the stretch for FU every single year

Yeppers, can’t stand prosperity. Could have had a huge game at Timmons Saturday by just beating one of two mediocre teams and coukdn’t do it. UTC has wrapped up the regular season almost 3 weeks before the end. I really wouldn’t be surprised if UTC doesn’t win the tourney. Like I said in FU’s case its just a matter if we come home Saturday or Sunday. Only thing left to play for is a sweep of the little dogs. Speaking of dogs I think we lose our last 2 games at Sammy and Citadel.

That is paid attendance. ETSU sells nearly 3,000 season tickets. I attend most games and would say the crowd was 2700-3300. Somewhere in that range.

Just home from the game. ETSU is not a terrible team, the losses during the streak were by a total of less than 15 points. They are so-so. ETSU has no depth and doesn't have an inside game. ETSU has excellent guards and they may have (arguably) the best guards in the conference. ETSU is playing with 1s, 2s, and 3s.

Tonight ETSU switched to a zone as the primary defense. I doubt Furman expected that and didn't seem to make good adjustments. Changing to the zone defense saved enough legs to make a difference in stamina despite playing basically 6 players.

For us ETSU fans it would be nice to at least get Charlie Weber back in some kind of playing form. His ankle was heavily taped and he just can't move like he did before his high ankle sprain. Weber is the lone 4-5 on the team. Nunez has played a bit but is a freshman that just isn't ready.

The officiating was HORRID.

Love to see this matchup in the tourney-neutral court with a different set of officials.

Guarantee you more than 2/3 those gold out tee shirts they put out went unused, had one in every seat before the game and looked about the same deal in second half lol

Buc Doctor...I appreciate you and your fans...They show up and they don't quit on their team...I. am always treated well in Johnson City...Perhaps that's why I love that trip...Losses are tough, but ETSU has good players...Furman knew that...Despite the officiating, ETSU deserved to win...They shot well and defended well...They out-played Furman...That's bottom line...Now, the officiating...That has to be reviewed by the league and I am not even saying we were the only ones on the end some bad ones...But that's a national TV game for all to see...The teams did their part but putting on a great product...The refs absolutely fell well below a national level game....Congrats to ETSU...The team reminds me of Furman in 2014-15 when the Paladins started to figure things out.
