Looks like the Belmont loss will cost us another one.
Scoring in spurts ... now up by 16 with rebound margin tightening.

Ugly win, but a win nonetheless. Beat the spread.... and the over.

Whew! That was hard to watch. Paladins very careless with the ball tonight. Played good D but the lack of rebounding kept Rad in it.

I thought we played way too fast on offense the first 12 minutes of the game. My gosh, have some patience! Better in the second half.

Conley Garrison was the best player on the court tonight.

P.S. Did somebody grease the floor tonight? It looked like the players were slipping and sliding all over the place.

Especially Furman in the first half. :D

Nope. 17 point win.

KenPom had forecast a 14 point win so overall results were positive.

But too much sloppy play. We have some things to clean up and it’s not just the youngsters.

The Navy team was there and left with about 10 minutes left and a 4 point game. I’m sure as they were leaving they had to be thinking this should be 2 easy wins this weekend. 😁

Got nervous as the game stayed close but overall a good win, especially considering all the missed layup range shots. With a bit more luck or concentration it could have been 30 . Effort hustle and defense were there and that is always a good sign and usually means victory -as it did tonight.

If I had to pick the top 10 or even the top 5 keys to a successful season (other than no injuries) it would be Slawson not getting in foul trouble. We badly need him to stay on the court and to not pick up dumb fouls.

Noticed that Pegues did not play in Radford game. Was that related to injury at Belmont?

I'm not sure how good Radford is, makes it a little tough to say about the margin. Watching it, I never felt like there was a real chance of the Paladins losing, despite the score being pretty close at times. Richey didn't really address Pegues' health status post-game, but seemed to imply that it wasn't too serious when he was talking about playing time going forward.

Make no doubt about it, Radford is not good. Pegues was dressed last night

They had a bad Covid season, but they are usually a twenty win team. I think that’s pretty good.

Don’t care what they usually are, watching them in person they were not very good. They were averaging 45 points a game in their 2 d1 games. Shooting 18% from 3, 30% overall. I suspect Navy wins easily today. Of course as always I could be wrong.

Yeah, just to clarify, I meant I'm not sure if they're a mid-pack Big South team or a lower-end Big South team. Watching the game, it was evident throughout that the Paladins could have dominated more with better execution. That's a credit to the team Richey has, that they can be a little off and still comfortably beat low-major opponents.
