Huggins: Majors should ditch NCAA tournament

WVU Coach Bob Huggins is promoting the idea that major colleges should not continue participating in the NCAA Tournament, but should have their own tournament. He doesn’t like the mid-majors being a part. It’s all about money. If this happens, I believe this will not be good for Furman, whether or not we ever win the SoCon again.

The tournament Huggins wants would be boring. A good percentage of bb fans, if they had to choose, would watch the nonP5 tournament instead of the P5 tournament. Viewership and payout for his P5 tourney would drop so much that the teams probably wouldn’t come out that far ahead money wise.
