Looks like there is a pretty good dropoff from first team defense to second team.
For Furman?

You realize we rotate guys all game, right?

Yes! When second unit comes on they’re getting 8-1O yds when first team is in they can’t get out of the backfield.

They aren't getting anywhere near the end zone right now regardless of who is in the game.

Our defensive front rotates every three plays or so, so this idea that the first and second team are in and out and TTU starts moving it is fantasy.

Missed a couple of good chances, you know the old saying, you kick field goals, you lose.

TTU kept things close against Samford until they didn't.

Impressed with Hamp Sisson. He is two dropped passes away from having almost an awesome first half.

Game should be over but they still have a chance. They will be fired up in second half.

TTU is a scrappy team playing at home. They have a history of upsetting teams in Cookeville. A 16 point lead at the half is an excellent result.

At this point, TTU has 103 yards of offense for 3.4 yards per play and have not exhibited a real ability to do anything other than throw a smoke route to a WR.

The Furman fans that complained about long lines last week should see the setup at TTU. Only one window is open. You can imagine the long line on a warm day.

Nothing too concerning in the stats.

Sisson is 60% for 100 yards. Had an uncharacteristic dropped pass by Miller in the end zone. Furman's scored on all but one drive.

Those are good markers.

Defense has looked excellent. TTU really doesn't have many options about what they can do. The Golden Eagles haven't advanced really any further than Furman's 40.

Paladins need get the run game working a bit more and finish off things in the redone. Our team is not built to score 45 a game. We need consistency and let the defense do their thing. One more score and the game may be out of reach for what TTU can reasonably manage.
