If you had Georgetown in your 2021 1st Team to Covid out pool, you are a WINNER!

I wish the term “abundance of caution” could be stricken from the language.
Yes.
But even worse, I read someone recently writing, publicly,
to justify that something has been done “…out of an over-abundance of caution ….”.

I wonder if Georgetown can spell F-O-R-F-E-I-T?

Actually Georgetown was not the first to cancel a game. The St. Thomas/St. Francis game was canceled the end of last week.

Sorry - should have been more specific…since this is in the “FCS Football Talk” thread in the “FCS Football” section, sorta thought it was tacit that FUBeAR meant Georgetown was the “1st FCS Team to Covid out.” St. Francis (ILL) is a D3 Team and Covid-ed out of their game with newly FCS St. Thomas.

I suppose, also, since the Georgetown game was scheduled to kickoff at 12:30 PM ET on 9/4 and the St. Thomas game was schedule to kickoff at 2:00 PM ET on 9/4, one could say the Georgetown game was (or, technically, will be) the 1st Covid-cancelled game.

But, actually, why quibble?

Furpop is rightly proud of his 2016 Furman graduate, but equally proud of his No Ariz. U. graduate as well. Last night Big Sky NAU beat Pac12 Univ of Az., 21-19. Was hoping for a twofer out of Raleigh, but I’ll take it.

GoPaladins.com is the latest iteration of The Unofficial Furman Football Page. Launched in August of 1996, The UFFP welcomes fans of all FCS football teams - and fans of the more inferior sports, too - for discussion, cameraderie, and even the occasional smack talk.

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage
