Seems things went fine during summer ball with the team

Then school starts and you insert more of the FU student body, wonder if some of those people were messing with him and he decided being at FU was not worth it. Anybody know what went down?
I think so and that’s not it.

Would be nice if we could pick up a solid JUCO big man transfer. The fact that we haven't picked up any big men on the recruiting trail is concerning for the future.

From what I saw at just one practice, I think it was simply a basketball related issue. Although the proliferation of club teams these days has made it somewhat easier, I know the jump from HS to college ball can be traumatic.

A big man is no longer the most important need. It’s great guard play and defense that wins championships.

My understanding is he is enrolling at Union College, an NAIA school about 20 minutes away from Corbin. Whether this is a stop-gap or not, we'll see. Union won the NAIA DII national championship in 2016-17 and plays in the same conference as Rheinhardt and Montreat.

Jalen Slawson is a post player. Isn't as strong as Acox but taller, more athletic and a better shooter.

Also have RS-Fr Noah Gurley and Sophomore Clay Mounce. Both have upside and should continue to develop.

Meanwhile Rafferty and Jalen Williams are

I'm hearing Williams is looking really good in practice. I'm expecting big things out of him this year.

Disagree, unless you want to live and die by the 3. How often have we done this? Too often. We'll never be championship or Final 64 caliber team with just guards in our lineup.. We don't need 7 footers, but we do need quality 6'7-6'9 swing/post men.

By the way Gman, ...not only will he sit out, he'll never play.

I agree. We have those type of players.
