Down to the last game. Need to beat ETSU Sunday or WC to lose to Mercer Sunday to finish 3rd. 4th plays Mercer and 3rd plays WCU.

We aree assured of at least a third place tie but WC would win the tie-breaker in that case. With ETSU's loss tonight that gives UNCG a first place finish regardless of what happens Sunday. The only way they could lose it now is by losing to Sammy at home.
How can that be? If ETSU wins Sunday they will be a game ahead of UNCG if UNCG loses?

If Mercer beats Woffy, they both would finish 11-7 in the SoCon and Mercer will have beaten the PorchYappers both times. I'm assuming that means Mercer would finish 4th and would play 5th place Woffy...no?

If we beat ETSU we finish 3rd. If we lose to ETSU and Wofford beats Mercer we finish in a tie for 3rd and Wofford wins the tiebreaker for 3rd seed. If we and Wofford lose our final games we finish 3rd and Mercer and Wofford tie for 4th and Mercer wins the tiebreaker for 4th seed.
Samford can still get the tie for 6th place but they will have to win at UNCG to get it. They would win the tiebreaker if they can get to a tie.

That's what I said, "the only way UNCG can lose first place is by losing to Sammy at home Sunday. Right now they are tied and UNCG wins the tie-breaker.
I just fear we will find a way to face Mercer in the first round.
Exactly my thoughts. Not only Mercer, but even if we get by Mercer, we would most likely have to beat uncg and etsu back to back. I am expecting Mercer to tank tomorrow at WC thus it really comes down to ETSU/FU game.
