A couple of teams moved their Saturday contests up to Friday.

ETSU is leaving VMI 7-0.

ETSU just went up on VMI 20-17 in the 3rd.
they have only one offensive TD...and that was with a short field after a strip sack and great field position.

Can we take up a collection to help VMI slap at least a little bit of paint in its end zone?

BTW, ETSU just took a 27-24 lead in the 4th.

Mercifully, that fiasco is over 27-24 ETSU. Someone from the conference should have stepped in and called no contest before it ended for the sake of college football.

I didn't think VMI would contest anyone. We better beat ETSU if they are basically VMI -level

If our offensive production stays at 7 per game, we won't beat either one of 'em.

I would venture to say we’ve faced the two best teams we’ll see all season.

Mercer 17 Sammy 7 at Samford at half. Mercer 258 yds and 178 passing while Sammy has 104 yds and only 64 yds passing. This must not be the same team that had over 500 yds against FSU last week.

Woffy no score in the 2nd at Wyoming. Come on Cowboys.

I hope we are not back to hoping the other team is bad so we have a chance to win.

Prolly so but we got crushed both games and didn't score until the fourth quarter when the game was long over. Not very encouraging, unlike last year.

There is caution in reading too much into a bad performance.

Furman gave a good account of themselves against Clemson. The result wasn’t great, but the effort was there.

I think we were all surprised by the Elon game. Sometimes you play a good team, have a few breaks go against you early, and simply never find your footing. We can fix fumbles.

Remember, last season Hendrix inherited a veteran QB and an all american center. Our offense is still really young - I think we start one senior and two juniors. Everyone else is freshmen or sophomores. They are going to have to grow up quickly.

Mercer up on Samford in Homewood 17-14. That would be a big upset if the score holds. Always good for the conference frontrunner to take a loss.
