Alabama's #2 QB Jalen Hurts has entered the Transfer Portal. I think he could help us next season. 8-)
From what I saw, he might could help 'Bama next season... ;)
Helped ‘em this season. They don’t win the SEC Championship Game without him/his performance against Georgia.

But...he’s a Grad Transfer, so doesn’t have to sit a year even if he Transfers to FBS Teams. I would bet he’ll end up at a Big 12 program; probably in TX

Some suggest there's enough tape on him that he could go to the NFL. He doesn't have much left to prove.

On the Furman front, though, certainly seems like Furman coaches have a lot of social media activity towards QBs in the 2020 class.

He could go to the NFL at another position but he is not an NFL QB. If he was going that route he would not go the transfer route. Maybe he thinks he needs another year as a starter to impress the NFL peeps.

Agree. Although, he could make an outstanding third stringer in the NFL. Maybe second string. Smart, athletic, plenty of experience, winner. All good qualities to have in a guy that won't have to play much or ever, but is valuable during the week at practice.

It has to be a special kid to transfer to Furman. Our guys are not fog up a mirror guys, they have to be able to handle one of the top academic schools in the south. I think CCH is really careful when it comes to these moves. THAT guy has to be the right "FIT"! Just my opinion.
Can't wait till toe meets leather, 1 week from Saturday!

We’ll never get the kind of guys we got lucky with in the past because nowadays they can just transfer to other FBS schools. So the best scenario for us would be to get some guy who lights it up in DII and wants to move up. If he’s doing great at FBS and wants to move, there may be a loyalty/character issue.

I don't stress much about this.

Over the last 20 years, there are probably a few (and that might be generous) true impact QB transfers to the FCS level. Ingle Martin was an absolute rarity in this regard.

The far better success rate is at recruiting and developing QBs.

Which we have done a poor job up to this point.
