You never know. We may still win the SoCon tournament. And if we don’t win it, we may have a good chance to keep our coach. So, good enough, go Furman.

Guys the fact is we have been way overrated all year. Got outscored 35-18 down the stretch. The chances of this team winning 3(or4) in a row in Asheville is zero.

Gurley & Mounce both with double-doubles. But 14-0 Wofford second-chance points was the dagger.

The way coach is talking in the post-game, makes me wonder who starts against UNCG

On the other hand 2 starters with a total 7 points. This team can’t win like that.

You never know. It may be near zero, but it is above zero.

There are some veterans that should take a seat, at least two took the game off. They looked downright intimidated. Hein needs more PT.

Another would’ve could’ve should’ve. It pains me to have to continue to congratulate Wofford fans on beating us time and time again in football and basketball. I agree that the starting line up needs some shuffling beginning with Hein getting more playing time. Also who is the out spoken, emotional leader of this team? I know that it was clearly Jordan last year but he seems to have left a void that hasn’t been filled.

My wife said while watching the game that we missed Jordan”s leadership tonight. My reply? We still lost to Wofford 2 out of 3 last year. They want it more than us whenever we match up and I don’t understand why.

So far I would say the word for this team is INCONSISTENT-and that applies to most individually also. If they all played lights out, we would be unbeatable. It just seems we cannot get everybody going at the same time. After Bothwell’s performance at the well last Feb against Wofford who would have imagined him scoring two points today. And we could have been up by 15-20 today if we had played well.

I will say it again-when we play Wofford again this year stick with Murphy like glue!!!!!

And yes Hien should play more for sure.

This game tonight demanded, deserved maximium effort. I didn’t see that tonight. That was a very winnable game. Besides inconsistent the word that comes to mind when talking about this team is disappointing. The ETSU loss was a given and expected, the VMI loss and tonights should not have happened. We should be 7-1 instead its 5-3. We are iffy to finish in the top 4 now when we should gave been in control. We still have not played a good game since Alabama. I really hope we can claim Covid come the 27th to avoid another L to the little dogs.

We got outhustled. They got most of the loose balls and key offensive boards down the stretch.

We got outexecuted in the half court offense down the stretch.

We got beat by a team that starts 4 guards.

Murphy outscored both our backcourt and held 1 to 2 points while playing 38 minutes. Heck-uva player.

Mounce scored 20 but only hit 4-15 from 3. Where were our inside players the last 10 minutes of the game??

They played together with a sense of urgency. We played like 5 individuals who were scared they were going to lose.

We can do better. Need to come out Mon. night with some fire in their eyes.

I think we'll see a change in the starting lineup. 1 maybe 2 different. Hope it motivates some people.
