Anyone know the whereabouts of Joe A? Injured?
Was he not on the bench?

Mercer shot over 55% for the game and won the rebounding battle 36-24, although the Paladins were +6 on steals and had 7 fewer turnovers.

That final five minutes was almost an epic meltdown. Never should have been that close. Coach Richey said we "lost focus." That is being polite.

Or as Dan would say it was almost a “collapse of biblical proportions”. :D

Again only 4 points from the bench. Hopefully we get Pugh back soon.
Bench: 33 minutes, 4 points 1 rebound. Not near good enough. This has got to improve.

He’s the coach. Was he taking a break?

By letting up the last 5 minutes and making it appear to be close cost us 6 spots in KP.

The balance of the Usual Suspects agree with you: Massey dropped by 2, Sagarin by 3, and ESPN BPI by 4. Gotta stay focused the entire 40 minutes.

If you look/listen to his comments in their entirety, I think you will have a better understanding what he was trying to say.

My experience is that Bob is refreshingly candid in his assessments. Where he and the coaches could do better, he has said so. At the same time he has not generally thrown players under the bus publicly. Which I appreciate. In this instance I do not think this was necessarily a comment directed at himself or the coaching staff.

Give the man a break! Didn’t you see him run off to the locker room to pee? When you gotta go, you gotta go!

Fast-paced games against a tough opponent are a particular challenge without bench depth. I think the "collapse" was mostly the starters being understandably worn out - even great conditioning can only go so far, especially while playing energetic defense.

COVID issues within the Mercer program. Their Wednesday game is postponed. Hope this doesn’t affect us.
I assume we've been tested. What is the protocol for testing before allowing an opponent to enter our arena? Can we rely on the testing performed by our opponents? Should we perform our own tests?
