CBR sounds like he wants a challenge. There is one right up the road. Clemson is not scheduled to play another game until Wednesday, 12/9. Hopefully Brownell picks up the call and lets the players play. Though, coach did mention wanting to go through the hotel routine for the new guys, so not sure a trip up the road would warrant that.

Seems to mean 1 positive in program = 14 day shutdown. Hard to see how they can play more than a half dozen games or so like that.

The reason Dook doesn't "drop as many upsets" early in the year is because they never play anyone on the road and very rarely play anyone on a neutral court. Their only true road games are ACC games. They are most overrated team every year. Coppin State...what a joke.

Overrated teams don't have FIVE National Championships. They don't. Their system works. I actually with you that sometimes I agree that I wish they played more OOC on the road but w one-and-done kids it helps to have more cupcakes to get those guys ready to run plays etc. .. and, honestly, the whole of the ACC is just so nasty (not Pro-Duke, just being honest about that conference). Duke, UNC, Louisville, Syracuse, NC State and now UVA have all won NATIONAL TITLES - that's SIX prior National champions in one basketball conference !!! I don't think anyone else is even close to that? I'm asking. If I am wrong please correct me.

Side note / ramble - I will say seeing what Coastal Carolina did getting BYU in football within ONE DAY (replacing Liberty) makes me feel we should be able to get basketball rescheduled if teams drop out. That was pretty astounding to see that Coastal got BYU for Saturday within 24 hours. It proves the concept that it can be done - if we need someone in the spring for football...

Not sure how involved the non player personal are, but seems like if it’s not a player or HC testing positive the game can be played. If we’re talking about asst coach, broadcast team, or a trainer it seems a replacement could be made available in order to play the game. Totally understand the safety aspect but how can you play a season with 14 day pauses anytime “non-essential” ppl test positive.
