I had a conversation with a highly credible source who works with Prisma Health. They have been conducting numerous testing clinics across Greenville County. According to this individual there is concern about the spread of the virus in the Hispanic community. He said 1/3 of the positives they are getting are from the Hispanic community. Their projections show that as many as 25% out of a population between 20000 and 25000 could be infected. That is a large number. I have no reason to doubt this as the source is highly credible.
Yep this is true. My better half is in the construction business that has a large hispanic workforce and construction has run into problems because of this. It’s widely known in the industry but of course you will not hear about it from the media especially these days.

A friend of mine from Saluda just told me the same thing is happening there. Wouldn’t be surprised if they figure out how to cure it.

The dog whistle .
I think you misunderstand. I for one am not suggesting they brought it here. But it has unfortunately found its way into their community where it probably spreads easily because of overcrowded conditions. Because they are about the only people in this country still willing to work their ass off, this is a big deal for all of us. My comment about them curing it is based on my experience of often being dumbfounded trying to figure out how they just did something nobody else could do.

The Citadel halts workouts. https://www.postandcourier.com/health/c ... dd77f.html

Really thoughtful comments from players and parents in this article on why athletes are safer on campus than being at home. I wish the Furman players were already on campus, in case workouts have to be delayed. https://www.postandcourier.com/sports/c ... 014d0.html

From what I gather, coronavirus is going to spread like wildfire on college campuses this fall.

Exactly. So if you’re gonna have school, you might as well do football.

I am beginning to have doubts on students returning to campus this fall. No students means no football. American's need to wake up and do the right thing. Love your neighbor. Wear a mask. Social distance. What is so difficult about doing that?

I’m honestly curious, when you go around town in Greenville are people just hugging each other with no mask on or something? Around here people above the age of 20 or so seem to comply pretty well. If they don’t have a mask they keep their distance.

Ok, I see why RB is so upset all the time. It isn’t like that everywhere.

Really not like that in Greenville either. You can always find something if you look hard enough. I went to the grocery store yesterday and it was crowded and 100 percent of the peeps were wearing masks.

About Us

GoPaladins.com is the latest iteration of The Unofficial Furman Football Page. Launched in August of 1996, The UFFP welcomes fans of all FCS football teams - and fans of the more inferior sports, too - for discussion, cameraderie, and even the occasional smack talk.

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage
