Per tonight's Cincinnati 's WLW radio sports report at 6:15 pm, the UC Bearcats will host Furman on 12/15/20. Announcer noted that it is a guaranteed $$$ for the Dins. He provided basic complimentary info on Furman's team from this past season. Game will be played in Cincy's downtown 5th/3rd Bank arena, right on the Ohio River.
Excellent Midwest exposure for our Dins.
Lotta favorable comments on the Cincy reddit board as well: https://www.reddit.com/r/CollegeBasketb ... furman_on/
No smack-talk, just positive comments about FU as well as the SoCon.

That's $173 round trip from GSP.

Wait. That's Cincy on Tues 12/15 and Louisville on Thurs 12/17? Hmmmm…..doubleheader? Not unlike my trip two years ago to Butler and Dook.

Should be easier on travelers this time, as Louisville & Cincinnati are only ~120 miles apart. Indy & Durham are over 600 miles apart; that must've been a heckuva trip.

You should absolutely go for it. I'm from Cincinnati originally. Those are two great places to watch college basketball with passionate fan bases, even if both schools will be on Christmas Break. And the games should be pretty good too.

Might have to join you on that DH. Both are a manageable drive from Chicago.

I'm absolutely giddy about that road schedule. A ton of tough games, but every single one is winnable.

Scratch Duquesne (95):
PSN had earlier reported that Furman would be part of Duquesne’s schedule. That game will instead not happen, with the Paladins backing out due to travel concerns. Furman is coming off a successful 2019-20 season in which they finished 25-7 and ranked No. 80 in the Ken Pom Ratings.

I wonder if we've got something else cooking or if this is a Covid-19 ramification?

I don’t care what the schedule looks like, as long as there are games I can attend.

I'm honestly terrified about this season. If played, I fully expect us to win the SoCon, but what happens if the season is a wash? Can we keep BR for another year? Do our upperclassmen continue to stay at Furman or do they move on for more exposure and a post-graduate degree? There are so many unknowns. Worst case I hope we can at least get the conference season in and postseason play.

I am terrified too. I am afraid we would lose all of the momentum that Coach Richey, the staff, the players and the supporters have worked so hard for. It’s up to us. Was our hands. Wear a mask. Practice social distancing. Play ball.

I think we will have basketball...Of course I said that about football and it's looking bleak for that now.

I’m thinking football makes more sense than basketball considering new evidence of aerosol transmission.

The Basketball Tournament currently going on has not had any problems. I guess I have to stay away from aerosol cans now.

GoPaladins.com is the latest iteration of The Unofficial Furman Football Page. Launched in August of 1996, The UFFP welcomes fans of all FCS football teams - and fans of the more inferior sports, too - for discussion, cameraderie, and even the occasional smack talk.

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage
