Huge quad 1 win. We should move up to somewhere in the 60's in the NET Rankings.
Moved from 80 to 73 in Ken Pom pending rest of evenings games.
This makes two of the best defensive games back to back I have ever seen from the Paladins. Great way to be playing at the end of the season. Tonight we had enough shooting to get clear of UNCG when their red hot three point shooting finally faded a bit.
We should have Tre back by Saturday. Gonna be a great tournament. Need to keep the defensive pressure on; never let up. We've always said, "Defense wins championships."

A complete TEAM win with all 5 starters in double figures. Mounce coming off the bench with 9 points (3 3’s) and 6 rebounds. Slawson is really coming on strong as a player-6-8 FG, 17 points and 9 rebounds. Lyons has really improved driving the ball. Critical for Hunter to be able to knock down some of his wide open 3’s. If we can beat Citadel, the regular season was a huge success. This game was critical to win.
It is not like UNCG played poorly. They hit 7 3’s in second half and gave us their best shot -and we prevailed. We overcame their comebacks and the 3/4 court shot before half.
6 PM game in Asheville should certainly help our crowd.

Yeppers against Wofford bearing a monumental upset from the Citadel. We can set the all-time regular season win total of 25 with a win Saturday.

That's the way I saw it. UNC-G played their tails off for much of the game and couldn't stay with Furman. In which case, I’ll humbly observe, I had predicted a 6-3 season second-half. The pessimists among us foresaw us at 5-4 while the optimists hoped for 7-2. Guess what? With a win on Saturday WE’LL ALL HAVE BEEN WRONG !!
